APPLICATION & MAINTENANCE
Best results are obtained when Stat-Seal is applied to surfaces which are 60 o F. or
warmer and in relative humidity conditions of between 40-65%. Remove old finish or sealer
with #118 Eliminator Stripper. Vacuum up stripping solution and rinse the floor with clean
water to remove any dissolved finish residue. When used as a base coat for #27 Stat-Coat,
one or two coats are recommended depending on the porosity of the surface. When used as a
sealer/finish on hard surfaces two or three coats will provide the optimum gloss and
durability. Apply thin even coats, allowing Stat-Seal to dry, depending on humidity and
temperature for approximately 30-45 minutes between coats. Allow two hours between the
last coat of Stat-Seal and the first coat of Stat-Coat.
When used as a sealer/finish effective recoating may be achieved in the following manner.
Vacuum the floor to remove any loose dirt or dust. Wash the floor with #137 Stat-Clean or
a high quality synthetic neutral cleaner such as #127 Tops Neutral Cleaner, to remove dirt
and soil. Apply thin even coats, allowing Stat-Seal to dry, for approximately 30 minutes
before resumption of foot traffic.
Floor surfaces should be swept with an untreated mop daily to remove abrasive loose dirt
and sand. Floors should be damp mopped with #137 Stat-Clean regularly, as needed, to
remove soil, salt, and film deposits which can degrade the coatings conductive properties
and gloss.
For optimum results do not apply during humid conditions, and do not dry-buff or
burnish.
