APPLICATION AND MAINTENANCE

Best results are obtained when the finish is applied to surfaces which are 60 o F. or warmer. Remove old finish or wax with one of Perma's high quality finish strippers. Mop or vacuum up the stripping solution and rinse floor thoroughly with clean water. Optimum appearance and gloss is obtained with three coats of finish. Apply thin even coats, allowing the finish to dry depending on humidity and temperature for approximately 30-45 minutes between coats.
Effective recoating of existing finish may be achieved by vacuuming or dry mopping the floor to remove any loose dirt or dust. Wash the floor with #127 Tops Neutral Cleaner to remove fine dirt and soil, and allow it to dry. Apply thin even coats, allowing the finish to dry for approximately 30-45 minutes between coats.
A routine maintenance program will provide the most satisfactory gloss retention and wear characteristics in any floor coating. Floor surfaces should be vacuumed, or swept with a clean dry mop treated with #135 Aqua Treat, water based mop treatment, daily to remove abrasive loose dirt and sand. Damp mop floors with #127 Top Neutral Cleaner every two or three days to remove soil, salt, and film deposits which can degrade a coatings gloss. Perma product #66 High Speed Maintainer may be periodically substituted for neutral cleaner, and high speed burnished (1500 Rpm maximum) to restore finish gloss. Perma Lock may also be spray buffed using #6 One Step Spray Buff and a standard speed buffer (175-300 Rpm).
